Found on both sides of Red on the colour wheel, Burgandy is often described as a deep red, with grayish red-brown tones to the one side, and leaning towards purple on the other. Imitate the heat of fire by adding gold, candle- or firelight to Deep Red for a rich, glowing atmosphere. For a classic, stylish Medieval setting, add burnt metallics, bronze and antique silver to velvety, full bodied and richly textured materials.
